Joel Weintraub was born in New York, New York on April 11, 1946.
From 1968 to 1970, he served in the U.S. Army, Infantry Division.
During the period of 1969 to 1970, he served in Vietnam. Joel
Weintraub received his B.A. from the University of Virginia
in 1968 and his J.D. in 1973, also from the University of Virginia.
As an undergraduate at The University, he was elected into Phi
Beta Kappa. In law school, he was a member of Delta Theta Phi,
and served as the chapter president from 1972 to 1973.
In 1973, Joel Weintraub was admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth
of Virginia as well as the Bar of the U.S. District Court, Eastern
District of Virginia. He was admitted to the Bar of the U.S.
Tax Court in 1974, and in 1975 and 1978 he was admitted to the
Bar of the U.S. Court of Claims and the Bar of the U.S. Court
of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, respectively.
Joel Weintraub is a member of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar
Association and the Virginia State Bar. He practices law in
the areas of Personal Injury, Wills and Estates, Real Estate,
and Litigation.
